How to Structure Your Own Essay Speech

How to Structure Your Own Essay SpeechThere are four major different types of essay speeches and they are Formal, Personal, Portable and SPM. Before you begin writing your essay, it is important to understand how each of these types of essays are written.Formal essay speeches are typically shorter than the others and are generally required for graduate level and higher school. The Formal essay is read by a professor, peer or counselor. When writing a Formal essay, a student must be careful to follow all the rules as outlined in the guidelines of the school.A personal essay is typically short and sweet. It is usually read by a parent or sibling of the writer and not by a professor. The personal essay is usually meant to express an opinion of a single individual. The length of the personal essay is usually under ten pages and it is often considered informal. Although not recommended, some professors, especially those in the English department may be willing to have a personal essay go long if the essay can be informative and interesting.Portable essays are generally shorter than the others and are often written on a topic that is not too complicated. Portable essays are generally free-form and informal and have a lot of information to convey. The format for a portable essay should be short and concise. Portable essays should never be longer than about one hundred and thirty words. The problem with a portable essay is that the writer will always have something to say, so the essay will be lengthy and possibly boring to read.SPM is the shortest form of an essay that is typically used in grad school. SPM is generally read by an instructor or graduate student for feedback or a course project. The SPM format can also be written in-depth or short (less than 100 words). The format of an SPM is determined by the writer.Once you understand which type of essay you want to write, it is important to take a look at the format of the SPM. In this format, the writer is explaining what was learned from the research paper, in the same way that the professor would explain a research project to a student in the class.
